    - - All that messuage or tenement. with appurtenances in Luton where (i) now dwell, between tenement. of Edward Welles north and messuage or tenement of Richard Everett south, abutting east on the highway from Luton to Stapleford, west on ground of Thomas Cooper; - - Plot of arable and meadow called Spitlesey Close (12 acres.) lying between grounds of Sir Robert Nappier Kt. Bart. on both sides north and south; east upon river Oflee and south towards the King's highway from Luton to Stapleford; With all houses, orchards, barns fences etc. etc. and all commodities with all appurtanences. TO USE OF Edward Crawley and wife Marie during their lives and the life of the survivor of them and thereafter of their lawful heirs 'betwixte them .. lawfully begotten', in default, to the heirs and assignees of Edward Crawley for ever. To hold of the Chief Lord of the Fee by the rents and services thereof due and of right accustomed. (i) for themselves, their heirs, and executors and administrators convenant that Marie may, from decease of Edward Crawley may peacefully possess the said estate 'without any lett trouble eviction expulsion clayme entrey or mallefacon of or by' (i) their heirs or assignees or by any person claiming from them, being discharged by (i), their heirs and assignees of all former promises grants bargains sales dowers jointures leases mortgages statutes bonds obligations titles troubles charges demands and encumbrances heretofore or hereafter had made committed or done by Edward or William Crawley their heirs or assignees or by any person claiming from any of them their estate rights, titles etc. Witnesses: John Crawley, Thomas Beeches scrivener.
