Scope and Content
Hired himself for a year at Kimbolton statute before Michaelmas 1754 to William Abbot, farmer, of Raunds, Northants., and continued there until the middle of June in the following year. Being ill, he went home with his master's leave to his Father's house at Keysoe, and after about 7 weeks returned to Raunds and continued in his Master's service without making a new agreement. He remained until the end of the year, but Abbot stopped 17s. 6d. of his wages for his loss of time by sickness. Stapleton has not gained any settlement since his service in Raunds. Sarah Stapleton his wife, and Samuel their son.
