    that on 30 April, 1857 they viewed a public footpath on south side of Market Hill, Biggleswade. Charles Powers wished to divert 11 yds. 2ft. 6ins. of path running near his house into a new direction. Reasons stated why more commodious to the public etc. Certificate by Clerk of the Peace that this & plans were sent to him 30 May, 1857 and enrolled in Quarter Sessions Roll. No appeal. Court order diversion to be made according to Highways Act of 5 & 6 Wm. IV (1835) Signed: Clerk of the peace
