- TitleAnnual report. The discipline is very praiseworthy, the teaching is sound, careful and effective, and good work has been done throughout the school during the past year. The infant class is fairly good, but spelling arithmetic and phrasing in reading need attention. The warming of the room is inadequate (Art. 85(a)). Physical training should be given for not less than one hour each week (Schedule III, 3 of the Code). If the Model Course be not adopted for future use, I am to request that an equivalent course be submitted to the Board for approval. Regarding the claim made under (Art 101,s.7 (6) no grant is made under that Article as the certificate filed relates only to the closure of the School, and does not attest the prevalence of infectious disease on account of which the children were excluded from School. The teacher A G Newton does not appear to be engaged under a written agreement (Art 71) 1902 Attached: receipt from the Education Department for certificated teachers’ contributions to Deferred Annuity Fund in respect of John G Wall for a year’s contribution, which amount has been deducted from the grant.
