Annual report. Mixed School: the discipline and tone are praiseworthy, and good steady work is done in this school. The written exercises are neat and accurate, the class subjects are improved, and drill, drawing and recitation are well taught. Infants’ Class: Owing to change of staff there has been some falling off inefficiency, and improvement is required, especially in arithmetic and object lessons and in singing by note which is very poor. But the children are bright and happy, the work is in some respects very fair, and with increased experience and more knowledge of sound methods the teacher will probably produce a good result. G A Newton is recognised (Art 68). C W Foster is recognised (Art 33) till 4 November 1901 Attached: receipt from the Education Department for certificated teachers’ contributions to Deferred Annuity Fund in respect of John G Wall for a year’s contribution, which amount has been deducted from the grant. Year ending 31 December 1900
