    Conveyance by Bargain and Sale Parties: (i) John Russell of Bedford, gentleman; (ii) Robert More, citizen and grocer of London and Elizabeth, his wife; (iii) Johan Weste of Bedford, widow Operative Part - (i) "for a certeyne some of money" paid by (ii) conveyed (a)-(c) to (ii) and (iii) Property: (a) a messuage called the Towne Howse in Saint Paul's, Bedford in the occupation of Alyce Chrystye, widow enfeoffed to (i) by her late husband John by a deed poll of 25 Jul 1546 made to trustees William Sutton and Henrye Lawghton; (b) a messuage called the Rose in Bedford High Street formerly in the occupation of John West and situated between a tenement of Richard Lawrance, formerly in the occupation of John West N and a tenement of the Master of Saint John's Hospital, Bedford S; (c) a toft of ground in Saint Paul's, Bedford between the King's [sic] highway N and E and the castle S; in the occupation of Robert Paradyne Habendum - to (iii) for her life, remainder to (ii) and Robert More's heirs for ever Witness - Richard Rede Seal of Robert More attached [bearing the initials RM] The deed is annotated: "The Bargayne and sale from Russell unto mo[ther] Joane West of the Rose" Elizabeth More was, presumably, Joan West's daughter [see R6/5/2/1 and R6/5/2/6]
