Horsley undertook to pay tithes on various lots while Mr Smith was alive, but not for ever. Believed that when the building plots were sold off the tithe would be informally apportioned and the purchasers of the plots would reimburse Mr Horsley the apportioned amount. The land purchased by Ampthill RDC in 1928 was dealt with by a formal apportionment in 1930. 2 sheets
