    Letter from Ministry of Agriculture & Fisheries. Have received an objection to the proposed altered appointment from H.J. Webber, on behalf of the executors of W.J. Smith. The conveyance of Home Farm, Westoning to W.A. Horsley in 1932 was subject to the purchaser paying the whole tithe rent charge on the property conveyed and certain other land. Ampthill RDC have informed that the land conveyed to them was ‘tithe free’. Messrs B.J. Smith, R.A. Baker, T. Gazeley and Mrs E. Gazeley also claim to have been indemnified against paying rent charge when they purchased their property.
