    Whereas Queen Elizabeth granted to him in 1560 the Manor of Wavendon (county of Buckinghamshire), late of Woburn Abbey; the manor of Bragenham (county of Buckinghamshire), late of Duchy of Lancaster; the rectory of Lidlington late of Abbey of Barking, with horsemill and tithe in adjacent villages; lands in Priestley, Steppingley and Flitwick, lately demised to William Style, with free warren there etc.; and the Manors of Great and Little Linford (county of Buckinghamshire) all of which were of the Honour of Ampthill –now Richard Champyn grants all these to John Thompson for use of him and his heirs [V C H describes this as ‘Priestley Manor’]
