- Scope and ContentWritten at Harrold. My dearest Pollie, I was rejoiced to see a letter from you this morning and to hear that you and dear Baby arrived safe, and that you thought he would receive no hurt. I did think so much about you both after you were gone. I expect you got home long before I did, as I walked my round and sent Charles home with something particular from the station. We are all well and getting on very nicely up to now. I hope your Mamma is better. Give her and Jethro my very kind love and the Baby darling a good squeeze for me and lots of love &c&c for yourself, from Your own loving Hubby.... P.S. I will write tomorrow and say what Train I come by on Monday. I am afraid it must be the last so I hope Jethro will be able to meet me at Lamport. I enclose a letter from Mrs. Curtis if you have bought a nice bonnet, I would write and countermand hers as she has not began [sic] it. Perhaps you will say I wish you would mind your own business.
