    Recites that Sir William Fleetwood kt. on 4 June 1594 became Receiver General of the Court of Wards and Liveries; on 23 Dec. last he was found to be indebted to the King in £11,021. 5s. 9d. and the 4th part of a farthing, which he is unable to pay; he is seized of the third part of the Barony of Bedford, a capital messuage in Cardington, 2 tofts,1 dovehouse, 2 gardens. 50 acres land, 80 acres meadow, 400 acres pasture, 300 acres wood, in Cardington. The Court has agreed, upon the motion of Sir Gerard Harvey kt. and Geo. Blundell esq. as follows: that Harvey and Blundell should pay for the premises: £5,000 - £1,000 at sealing, £2,000 at the end of the first year after, £2,000 after 2 years; they are to pay to the use of Jane Gascoigne wife of John Gascoinge esq. £100 for life, which Fleetwood has undertaken to pay. 16 March 1610 Letters Patent, conveying property to Blundell and Harvey. Sir W. Fleetwood and son Sir Miles have conveyed the inhertance to Anth. Lowe of Inner Temple, esq., Mich. Longevile of Wolverhampton, esq., Barnaby Newmand cit. and haberdasher of London, Jas. Hawes citizen and haberdasher of London, Nath. Butler cit. and stationer of London, Wm. Hawkeridge of Staple Inn, gent., in trust for Harvey and Blundell. Decreed that Harvey and Blundell hold the property free of any other remaining debts of Fleetwood.
