  • Scope and Content
Written at Draughton Lodge. …I am beginning to feel anxious as it is a fortnight today since you last wrote to me. Do let me hear soon how you all are and how you are getting on with Miss I----. I am much as I have been of late, very shakey. We have hired a maid from Maidwell; she is only 17. She is sister to the girl Lizzie had, named Iliff. We have not heard from your Uncle since he was here. Tell him we are going to have Mr. Morriss of Market Harboro[ugh] next Sunday to preach Sunday School sermons. I think you would all like to come if you could. I cannot write more. Pollie and Jethro unite in best love and believe me, your own loving Mother Jethro and Alfred are going to Mrs. Betts’[?] sale tomorrow at Spratton; you remember her, do you not?
