- TitleWorking Instructions for the Management of Allen’s High Speed Force Lubrication Engines. Catalogue No 6. Enclosed in volume is a note from D A Marks to Sir Kenneth Allen ‘The attached Working Instruction Book refers to the 2 steam engines, working number 8403, at East Ham Sewage Works. The engines were tested in 1906 and presumably delivered to site in that year. 'They appear to have run very well over the years and were in good working order when they were taken out recently for replacement by our diesel alternators. The last spares to be supplied by us were delivered in 1929! The engineer who had looked after these engines for so many years has retired with the engines and handed Mr Stidolph this Working Instruction Book before leaving.’
