    Written at Harrold. Endorsed 'Miss Wiggnell' on one part and 'Miss Wiggins' on another, and 'Book' is written under the date. [Appears to be written to them while they are away at school at Holly Grove House.] ... I hope what is herewith sent you will very much enjoy; and we should very much liked to have seen you as we returned from London but we could not manage it. I have been pleased to hear that you like your school. I hope you will improve the very precious opportunity and gain all the advantages from it that you possibly can, but whilst I wish that you may be very diligent with respect to the acquirement of useful knowledge I most ardently wish that above every thing else, you may seek the possession of "The one thing needful", for it is in the acquirement of this that true happiness consists. Your minister Mr. Vine [the Rev. J. Vine, Bushey Heath, Hertfordshire] has been to my house; he came once as a deputation from the London Missionary Society. Under his ministry I hope you will be interested, instructed and profited. With my love to you both I remain your affect. Uncle....
