The place of writing suggests that it is likely Mary's cousin, Hannah Wiggins, daughter of Robert and Lucy Wiggins. Letters not transcribed in full. There is much underlining and emphasis of words; she apparently was, or believed herself to be, a spiritual confidante and key encourager of Mary’s faith at the time.
