    A Bill to extend the Limits of Supply of the Leighton Buzzard Gas Company; to authorise the Company to raise Additional Capital; and for other purposes. The bill begins as follows: "Whereas by "The Leighton Buzzard Gas Act 1891" the Leighton Buzzard Gas and Coke Company (incorporated under "The Joint Stock Companies Act 1856") was dissolved and the proprietors therein were reincorporated by the name of "The Leighton Buzzard Gas Company" (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") and were empowered to supply Gas within certain limits of supply comprising the Parish of Leighton Buzzard, the hamlet of Heath and Reach in the County of Bedford and the Parish of Linslade in the County of Buckingham": The bill was intended to: • allow gas supply to the Bedfordshire parishes of Billington, Eggington and Stanbridge and the Buckinghamshire parishes of Grove, Mentmore, Slapton and Wing; • allow the company to raise to consolidate the original stock (£12,106/10/-) and new ordinary stock (£13,001/8/-) into one stock bearing a uniform rate of dividend of 5.5%; • allow payment of £1,813/6/3 to shareholders in respect of dividends not previously paid in full; • allow the company to raise additional capital to meet an increasing demand for gas
