Horace sailed for America last Thursday, on the Teutonic "I find him much changed. I know he had a bad time the last two years out there but that does not account for the change". Is sending paper about the proposed Cathedral, newest site suggested is between Myrtle St., Oxford St., Hope St. and Mulberry St. Glad to hear reception went off well, Ed. and Godf. were here on Thursday, Dr Wigglesworth returned from Shetland, "with a fair amount of spoils ". Had visit from Mrs Seplintin? on Saturday, "She is great matyr to gout". Cecilia Willis "thinks Godfrey is a godless boy and needs religious instruction, she got an opportunity one day and commenced & introduced his Satanic Majesty & all his evil ways to Godfrey's notice. Then the other day she came armed with a tract (From the Cradle to the Cross) and told Edith to read a portion to him every day.. Emily takes another view of Godfrey and thinks an application of the rod would be extremely beneficial occasionally.
