    on "The Argo" on way to Philadelphia. Last heard from home when at Jamaica on 3 Apr. None of party suffering from sea sickness. Does not really like life in the tropics, "It increases the difficulty of avoiding a sensuous mode of life" that is, "a very vivid perception of delight in things pertaining to the senses." Also all people speak Spanish. Partly glad to visit Napan in the Bahamas, "the first really English town we have been at for a long time" Also mentions Harara, Vera Cruz, Carthagena and Santa Marta. Does not intend to go to Niagara from Philadelphia with Mr Cholmondely; expects to be home by end of May. Writer thinks he enjoyed Jamaica most and describes house he stayed in there. Now in estuary of Delaware and much colder.
