    Fulfilled John's commission by writing to Mr Hagley, however writer knew there was no need as he had heard Mr Hagley quote the verse which John sent as being in his "Life of Cowper" which will be ready for publication on New Years Day. It is to be 2 quarto volumes containing Cowper's letters to various persons, decorated by a head of Cowper by Romney, engraved by Blake, Blake's engraving of Lawrance's sketch, a Blake engraving of Cowper's mother and perhaps an original or two. However Mr H. may change his mind. Condoles John on death of his sister. Writer's sister is in better health lately but still poorly. Writer was told Lady Hesketh looks very well and is in fine spirits by her letters. encl: Cowper's poem. ""The Needless Alarm; A Tale"
