    During night the Royal Exchange burnt down, writer there only 6hrs. before. Delay in getting writer's business in London finished. Streets very slippery because of snow. Writer does not intend to order organ. Will go to Hulnardel's in the morning and tell him to start work on drawings. Note to brother, Henry: Asks Henry to write to Samuel Wing, esq., clerk to Board of Guardians, Bedford, as writer will not be home to attend meeting. Asks Henry to attend Club Meeting of Women and Children for writer. Also asks Hen. to send word what insects were sent to Oxford St.
