Hears Betty Humphries is pleased with journey to London with Sarah. Has heard Miss Varnham plans to stay with Mr. Hall at Bartlow for few days. Discusses bequests in will of Mr. Thos. Higgins. Is going to spend most of next week at Mr. Trevor's with Mr. Hooper and is to visit Northampton fair on Saturday. Seems writer will be made sheriff this year "which must make me grow an inch at least"
