Has heard from Mrs Humphries and Miss Varnham that Sar. is well. Thanks Sar. for salmon she sent him. Glad King has recovered health. Has begun pulling down old buildings. ""The Effect is remarkable, the house does not appear to stand in the same place as it did before... I think you know I am going to put up a clock on the building I am this year going to raise, which I think engages me more than the stables did last year... "Miss Varnham says Miss Bean is very ill." "We are going to have a new Turnpike road into ours, from Kimbolton, through Odell, Harrold, Lavendon etc..."
