    Worries that sister not well and fears for her being alone "I somehow have a greater dread of the effect of a spark of fire on a muslin gown, than anything I at this time think of". Visited Bath and stayed with the Spurgeons, "the Assembly at the rooms, which I constantly attended was supposed to be filled with upwards of twelve Hundred people..." Also visited concert, theatre and harmonic society and took lessons from a drawing master. Hen. Varnham leaces for London this morning. Went to Bedford Assembly last Thurs.
