Scope and Content
Additional information from Miss P.M. Webb, former resident of Dunton, taken in 1993. The postcard is taken from the direction of the church and shows the Smithy in the foreground, opposite a thatched building which she believes was a pub, probably the Pig and Whistle. Then two thatched cottages, then the bakehouse (demolished early 1990s). The large brick building was still standing in 1995. A picture taken from the same angle in 1995 is in Z145/274.
