    - to his wife Sarah Pope all household goods, furniture, wearing apparel, linen, plate, china, wines and liquors for her absolute use. - to wife Sarah for life his messuage in Biggleswade, in which he resides, with yards, granaries, buildings and appurtenances. Upon the death of Sarah Pope to son James Pope. - to daughters Mary Carrington and Elizabeth Newbery £200 each within six months of testator’s death - his share of a partnership with stock in trade to his sons James and William Pope upon trust to convert into money his residual personnel estate and effects, that is not money or securities for money and after payment of debts, expenses and legacies to invest the residue of the monies and all money he is possessed of at the time of his death in Government Funds or Real Securities at Interest with full power to transfer and reinvest. Dividends, interest and annual profits to wife Sarah or her assigns for life. After death of Sarah, trustees to pay Mary Carrington and Elizabeth Newbury £600 each and then to raise a further £400 from the trust funds upon a further trust to pay interest, dividends etc to daughter Martha Mackaness for her own use separate from the debts and control of her present or future husband, and on Martha’s death to divide the £400 between her children, sons to receive it at 21, daughters at marriage or at 21 whichever comes first. After death of Martha and during the minority of children trustees may apply child’s share or part of share to their maintenance or education. Trustees able to claim expenses from the trust etc. Residue of trust funds to son William. James and William Pope joint executors. Witnesses: Robert Lindsell, solicitor, William Barker, druggist, Samuel Hanbridge, tailor, all of Biggleswade Proved Prerogative Court of Canterbury
