    The accounts are from here itemised in columns; Woburn and Bedford districts are divided into three sections and Chenies Estate into two sections as follows:- Woburn (1) "Woburn District Estate Account" Receipts. Under the following column headings - main heading - Rents received with three columns - Woburn District; pews in Woburn church; and Ampthill District - followed by columns - casual receipts and profits; interest on money expended on draining; permanent improvements in the year; followed by three blank columns for further items; a column - quit rent account; a final "total" column. (2) "Woburn District Estate Account No. 1" Disbursements. Under the following column headings - date; disbursements (detailed); voucher number; tither compositions and rent charges; quit and other rents; salaries and expenses of management; land surveyor's salary and expenses; contingencies; expences on account of Woburn church; remittances to Messrs Child & Co. (bankers); repairs of fences and drains etc.; under-draining on farms - then a main heading "Ordinary Repairs" with five sub-headings - Woburn Estate Farms; Woburn Estate Cottages; Woburn Town Repairs; Ampthill Estate Farms; Ampthill Estate Cottages. (3) "Woburn Estate Account, No. 2" Disbursements. Under columns - date; disbursements; voucher number; then a main heading "Extraordinary Works" with fourteen columns for sub-headings which are entered in manuscript as required, e.g. "New Cottages Wheelwright's shop Crawley"; "New Almshouses Woburn"; i.e. new buildings or major works. Bedford (1) "Bedford District Estate Account" receipts. Under columns - rents received; casual receipts and profits; interest on money expended in draining; permanent improvements; followed by six columns for further contingencies, e.g. "Expences of exchanges of lands in Bromham & Stevington"; and a final "Total" column. Bedford (2) "Bedford District Estate Account No. 1" disbursements. Similar but not identical to Woburn (2) with three additional blank columns for further contingencies, e.g., "new road to Twin Woods, Clapham" followed by a main heading "Ordinary Repairs" with four sub-headings the first two being Bedford Estate farms and Bedford Estate cottages the other two blank. Bedford (3) "Bedford Estate Account No. 2". As Woburn (3) "Extraordinary Works" include new cottages at Willington and work at Willington Manor Farm. Chenies (1) "Chenies Estate Account" receipts. Under columns - rents received; casual receipts and profits; woods receipts; rent-charges due to Chenies almshouses; followed by five blank columns for contingencies and a final "total" column. Chenies (2) "Chenies Estate Account" disbursements. In columns - voucher number; tithe compositions and rent charges; quit and other rents; contingencies; repairs of fences and drains, etc.; game and fishery; payments on account of woods; remittances to Messrs Child; stipends to Chenies Almshouses; main heading - ordinary repairs with two sub-headings - estate farms; estate cottages; main heading - extraordinary works with four blank columns; final total column.
