Composite vol. 8½" by 6½", bound up in 1933, with notes on contents by the Revs. R.B.Willey & C.H.Shawe. The contents were originally pamphlets or foldings of various sizes. i-vii notes on contents by C.H.S. made at time of binding a) 1-200 diary of Jacob Rogers 13 Jul 1743- Feb 1746 incomplete, but it appears to be the original of the partial fair copy MO/8/3/2 (b). At the end, in the hand of C.H.S.: "Continuation of this Diary from Feb 25 to July 4 & from Oct. 1-7 will be found in the folio volume 'Diaries & Conferences 1745-53' ". b) 201-320 Congregation Diary 27 Oct 1744-29 Dec 1745 entitled: "Extract of the Journal of the little Congregation of Sinners at Bedford being a Branch of the Congregation of our dear Lamb in London beginning Octr. 27 1744 being the Day on which our dear Brn. Rogers, Woodham & Sisr. Odell were received into the Congregation of the Lamb". The 'Journal' which was read at the Watchnight Service, 31 December 1745; described in full in Jacob Roger's Diary. c) 321-388 diary of John Wade 28 Jan - 5 Oct 1745 Ordained at Smith House, 1742. On his character, see the letter of G Marshall to the London Congregation, published in Benham's Memors of James Hutton, pp. 100 ff. Went afterwards to Pennsylvania. MO/8/3/2 (a) is a partial copy. d) 393-502 Congregation Diary 1 Jan - 27 Dec 1746 Probably an extract for reading at the Watchnight Service, as (b). The corresponding diary for 1747 is in MO/8/3/2. After that there is a gap in the series. e) 505-587 Congregation Diary 1 Sep 1751-23 Feb 1752 Only the short period from September to the following February has been preserved. Written in German, probably by Schlicht. f) 589-600 Labourers' Conference Minutes 12 Jan-19 Feb 1745 with notes in red ink by R.B.W. to say when written by Jacob Rogers & when by John Wade. see also MO/8/3/2 (d) & (e). Only 12 meetings are here recorded, from 12 January to 19 February. They appear to belong to the series of minutes contained in MO/8/3/2 in which there is a gap for these weeks. g) 601-615 Labourers' Conference Minutes (extracts) 18 Jun, 13 & 21 Sep 1745, 19 May, 8 Jul 1746. CHS calls these Labourers' Conference Minutes, but they are not so headed, and do not appear to fit in with the rest of the series (pp 601-604) h) 633-642 Memorabilia for 1756 "The only record of this year preserved", C.H.S.
