    Also reports and suggestions for donations to employees who have met with accidents and are temporarily unable to work, 1883 - 4. Includes circular regarding testimonial to be given to the Rev. J. Andrews who will have completed 40 years as minister of Woburn Independent Church later in the year, and asks for donations - the Duke gave £100, 1884. Another letter suggests a donation towards prosecution for perjury against a poacher - the original proceedings being brought by the Duke's gamekeeper - otherwise the expence will fall on the police rate - mentions a young man deserving of consideration and two others "they have been very indifferently paid for their time to say nothing of what they have to undergo in abuse from their neighbours", 1877.
