Denies charge of drinking to excess; did attend Public Houses but only when his Master's business occasioned his being at them. His Master would not allow to spend his evenings away from home. Thinks there is not "the least evidence" against him at present. Suggest some Friends from Luton ride over to visit him at Chesham
