Whereas: by an Inquisition or Decree made at Ampthill 6 November 35 Chas II [1683] by virtue of a Commission under the Great Seal upon the Statute of Charitable uses, it was found that the several pieces of land had time out of mind been given for the relief of the poor and other Charitable uses within the town of Harlington, and that the inhabitants had enjoyed the same being of the value of £5 9s. per annum, that Sir Francis Wingate or his ancestors of Mrs. Lettice Wingate for 40 years then last past had held possession and received the rents and profits of the said lands paying yearly to the Churchwardens of the parish 4 nobles and no more, that Sir Francis Wingate and Mrs. Lettice Wingate appealed to Chancery, it was declared that the said lands did belong to the Town of Harlington and the profits thereof from the time when Sir Francis Wingate and Mrs. Lettice Wingate had paid the last rent, and it was ordered that Sir Francis Wingate and Lettice Wingate should execute a Conveyance to the then Trustees of the Charity, and the Trustees should execute a lease to Sir Francis Wingate, his heirs and assigns for 1000 years at a rent of £5 9s. per annum, payable to the use of the poor etc.

RECITES: Inclosure Award dated 15 November 1810 by which the Commissioners allotted and awarded to Elizabeth Jennings, Spinster (now the wife of George Pearse of Harlington), and vested property in her for the residue of the term of 1000 years, and in lieu of lands thentofore lying in the open and common fields awarded a plot of land (3a. 39p) in Pardon Way, and another plot in Pardon Way (3a. 3r. 22p.)
