Reads- Cranfield court today; hope school site settled (Beard yielded to site at sawpit); he was elected a headborough. Biggleswade district registration? By Saturday I hope to be ready to put last year's lists in hands of someone in each district. Have seen no agent but Sharman who says he will do all required in own district; and if Foster does preliminary in Biggleswade district he will give professional help there; leaves remuneration to us. Hay. Board day easy & light; preparing workhouse plans. Bedford people anxious Duke's houses should be pulled down forthwith.
