- TitleReads- Precept from High Const.: act of Parl. enables recovery of damages up to £30 at a special p.s. after offence. The Aspley Guise people on Asc.Day pulled down house of poor man, which they contend was built on waste; not clear; but for so long a time, they had no right to do so. Magistrates intend to prosecute rioters; but the instigators, certain great men in Aspley, have been cunning enough to get out of scrape & leave tools to take what law will give them. This will come on at next Assizes. Chenies affairs, - people most ungrateful. Remainder of Gregory's estate (43 acres) at Eversholt to be sold. Another offer for sale. Other lettings.
