Extract from the will of William Fairey, deceased, made in 1862 by Sherwood of Wellingborough [Northamptonshire]:
"I also give and devise to my said Brother Thomas Fairey all those two fields of arable land situate in the Parish of Harrold aforesaid near Little Odell which I purchased of the said Robert French with the appurtenances and also all that Farm yard and Barn and orchard now or late in my own occupation respectively near to or adjoining or formerly belonging to the said messuage or dwellinghouse situate at Harrold aforesaid also purchased of the said Robert French to hold the same unto and to the use of my said Brother Thomas Fairey his hers and assigns for ever"
