William Shore Chalk of Wilden, clerk; John Hickman of Cardington, farmer; William Wootton of Cardington, farmer; and Samuel Day of St.Neots, Hunts., gent. Reciting: Indenture (Trust deed) of 30 August 1794 i) John Smith, farmer, and Mark Smith, yeoman ii) Thomas Brown, Benjamin Clapham, Edward Bull, the said John Smith (therein called John Smith junr.), William Favell, and John Wilson Conveyance by i) to ii) in trust, of - cottage at East End, Wilden, then in the occupation of William Bull - 18 acres of arable and ley - 3 roods of meadow in the Common Fields of Wilden - White's Close (pasture) - pightle pasture - spinney - 3 sellions of land (1 acre) - 1 rood of ground all in the parish of Wilden Also reciting: Wilden Inclosure Commissioners by their Award of 28 May 1817 awarded to the Trustees of the Church Estate: [Property awarded to the Trustees under the Inclosure Award dated 28 May 1817] - one piece of ground in Great Field (3a. 2r. 28p) bounded: :N. part on old inclosures belonging to the said Trustees, part on old inclosures belonging to William Williamson, and part on old inclosures belonging to Peregrine Nash :E and S. Premises of William Skinner :W. allotment to the Rector for Tithes - another plot in Little Field (14a. 3r. 18p.), bounded: :part N and part W. premises of the Trustees of the Wilden School Estate :part W, NE, and NW. premises of William Wagstaff :part E. old inclosure of Mary wife of Joseph Willis, exchanged [under the Award] to George Smith :part S. property of Rev. George Cornelius Gorham :part W and part S. premises of William Fuller :part W. the Colmworth road Which said two allotments with the allotment awarded to George Smith for the expenses of the said Trustees in passing the Act were awarded to the Trustees in compensation for the common rights of the Trustees and in lieu of part of an old Inclosure called White's Close (0a. 1r. 7p.) made part of the public carriageway called the Town Street Reciting that ii) have now died, and that estate vests in 1) by survivorship; and 1) being desirous of perpetuating the trust has proposed to convey the same to 2) NOW 1) conveys to 2) - cottage and White's Close as above, and property in Great and Little Fields In trust to use the profits etc. to repair and adorn the parish church of Wilden according to the intent of the respective donors thereof and to make accounts to the Churchwardens and major part of the chief inhabitants in Easter week and to pay the balance to the Churchwardens.
