    Regular business of the Vestry includes election of parish officers, passing of accounts, rates and rating. List of overseers (1848-1880) at front of book. Other business includes: 1849, A 1d voluntary rate be made for "the purchase of sparrows taken in the parish" [occurs regularly to 1872] .1859 No grazing to be allowed on the herbage without a keeper or at night .1861 A letter to be sent to the agent of the Lord of the Manor asking him to repair the East wall of the pound. 1862 The case of Thomas Aspley and wife Ann, née Tysoe. Purchase of silver coffee pot, value £15 15/- for the Rev. W.H. Bond on leaving the parish. 1863 Meeting re. liability for repair of Hannah Lane leading from Duck End towards Picts Hill. [brief history of the road] Measures needed to maintain a school. Thanks to Duke of Bedford and Col. Duke of Bedford to give £1200 Safety of public bridle and footway leading to Bedford and Bromham, crossing railway en route. 1872 Road called "Churchway" to be repaired for 4 chains beyond "Shiny-Hill" gate [see also 1863]
