Depositions include those of David Willis of Leighton Buzzard, gent; Rev. Jn. Wilson of Leighton; Thos. Read of Tebworth, yeo.; Thos. Willison of Tebworth, yeo.; Wm. Shaw of Tebworth, Blacksmith.; Jn. Buttfield of Chalgrave, s. of Defdt.; Geo. Atterbury of Toddington, dairyman. Mentions the "White Horse" Hockliffe where the farmers gathered to pay their tithes and the "Queens Head" at Tebworth. According to one deposition, the payment of a tithe composition of £11-5s. p.a. on Chalgrave Great Farm dated back 48 years.)
