    Richard Gregory.Born at Shillington where his father William Gregory leased a farm for £50 per annum. Lived there till he was about 10, when his father took a farm of about £120 p.a. in Haynes, and lived there for 12 years. Then went with his father to Meppershall where his father took a farm of about £68 p.a. Lived there about ¾ year, then hired himself to Henry Weston of Lilley, farmer, with whom he lived about 3 months. Then came back to Meppershall and stayed with his father about 6 months. At Michaelmas 3 years ago, he hired himself to Edward Burr of Westoning, farmer, with whom he lived about ¾ year. Then went again to his father for 3 months. Then went to London for 2 months, returning to Meppershall for about a month before going back to London for 2 months more. Ever since he has worked at several farms in different parishes by the week, and lodged in different parishes in the County of Bedford. Married Ann, his wife, about 3 weeks ago. Has done nothing to gain a settlement since being with his father 10 years at Haynes.
