    .-Devises to John Thorogood, John Randyll & Thomas Carrington (churchwardens of Southill), all his tenements in Broom in Southill, in trust to apply one half of yearly rents to repair of same, and the other half to be distributed amongst the Poor of Southill, & used for mending the highways. And devises to wife Margery, the house in which he dwells, who is to maintain Elizabeth Maynard "late my father's wife". (Bequests to: the high altar "for my tithes negligently forgotten", to the mother church of Lincoln, all his godchildren in Southill, Thomas Cheinynges, Margarett Butcher, Margarett Walles, Grace Edriche, and to the "herse light" [copy gives "high Sheriffe"]).
