    - on front cover “Shelton Register 1756” with later note of actual contents of register noting “the above title was probably written by Oliver St.John Cooper, Rector, to celebrate his adding 20 new leaves and a new cover in 1756 – see inside” by R.S.Baker, Curate, Oct 1864; - entries mixed 1706-1754 on ff.1-14 and baptisms and burials mixed on ff.14-23; - at front a note on additional pages and rebinding by Rev.Mr.Cooper, 24 May 1756; - notes on population of Shelton in 1801, 1811, 1821 and 1831 with analysis of men, women, families, houses and numbers employed in agriculture and trade; - on f.15 “N.B. No Feast of Dedication kept or heard off in this Parish till 1769 & 177[?] Establish’t then by 2 Drunken Fellows [at side] Thos Skinner & Jno Kirk”; - f.22 note of death of George Barker, Rector, at Streatham on his way to Brighthelmstone [Brighton] on 27 Jul 1808 and on induction of William Elstob LL.B on 3 Dec 1808; - f.23 note on resignation of Rev.William Elstob on 28 Jan 1813 and on induction of Daniel Crofts on 4 Jun 1813; - at back note on rebuilding of Rectory House in 1801 on a new site farther back from the street than the old house and of alterations made in 1809 and 1811 when new stairs were put in and a dressing closet made etc.; - note on population and number of buildings in the parish in 1841 and 1851
