Scope and Content
Reciting that the clapper belonging to the "Greate and biggest Bell now hanging in the Steeple" of L.B. parish church is out of repair and that Stare "hath repaired and amended some part of the said Clapper viz. seaventeen Inches downwards from the topp of the eye thereof" in consideration of 30/-, Stare undertakes to keep it in repair for the next 7 years, but this not to be enforced if "it shall happen that the Crowne staple or balderick of the said Bell shall breake in ringing thereof and the said Clapper shall then fall out and breake."
