    Letter from Burness to Adam: Reads- several farmers have raised wages, not before time; everything the poor man has to buy has got up in price so very much of late. Crocker agrees 1s. per week more from this time. Farm-men's pay should not be guided by park & wood-men, as they do some piece-rate. Comments on the mill (see R3/2286).
