Reads- transmit annual account; sorry for excess in home establishment; the call for repairs, painting etc. has much increased; it will require joint efforts of Hirdle & Roote to keep at all within compass.
1. Hirdle & Roote ought to make list of essential repairs.
2. Furniture, carpets etc. should only be granted on request from House Steward or House Keeper, authorised by Duke or Duchess
3 some workers must be dismissed;
4 some regulation needed in game dept. (? all pass through head-keeper) Runciman's affairs.
