    Hirdle good at accounts; some knowledge of works; can communicate Duke's wishes to Rootes; Leaton can keep books; - Work Books. George Castleden, boy, helps with accounts; promising; Kent has seen to woods North of Bedford (Salmon not being able to ride); William Runciman - Superintendent of works. It has been Salmon's practice to have the books kept by others, & vouchers for everything. Has also conducted timber sale if Ireland is to do this, Runciman could take to it with him. Accounts could either be transferred to Hirdle now or Xmas. Difficulties of parish office
