Scope and Content
Reciting:
- agreement for a lease at £12 per annum from 25 Mar 1798;
- that the property “had become very old and decayed” and that the Rector and Churchwardens undertook to repair it;
- subsequent agreement that Dixie Gregory should advance money for the repairs;
- Dixie Gregory had since spent £26 on repairs in return for which he would be allowed to deduct £6 rent in the first four years of the term of 14 years

lease from Rector and Churchwardens to Dixie Gregory for 14 years at a rent of £6 for the first four years and 312 for the last ten years of messuage or tenement in St.John’s now, and for some time past, in occupation of Dixie Gregory and bounded: to S by messuage or tenement belonging to Dixie Gregory in occupation of Edward Purton; to N by messuage in occupation of Mrs.Wright
