  • Scope and Content
    The accounts for 1800-1804 are those of the Overseer and Constable [one person serving both offices] but there is very little detail about the latter office. The accounts for 1805 and 1806 are similarly those of Constable and Surveyor. Also includes: (At front) Note on accounts, signed by Incumbent, Overseer and Churchwarden, 6 April 1801. Agreement by Mr. Smith to hire William Hore for one year, 1828 (At end) Vestry resolution agreeing to abide by the ancient boundary between Whipsnade and Totternhoe then in dispute, 1 March 1833 [Cf BW 1033] Short terrier of lands belonging to John Pedley Esq., giving field names etc. (293 a.), 1809, and terriers of lands belonging to Sir John Sebright (115 a.) giving acreage of wood, arable and pasture only, n.d. [c.1820], and to Mr.Vaux (11 a. woodland), also n.d. [c.1820]
