"Indenture between Francis, Lord Hawley, Baron of Langton in Ireland, Sir Charles Harbord, knight, Surveyor-General, and others (named), trustees for the sale of fee-farm rents and other rents and William, Earl of Bedford, Lord Russell, Baron of Thornhaugh, the honorable Robert Russell, esquire, fourth son of the said earl and George Collop of Grayes Inn, co. Middlesex, esquire, the two last-named being trustees for the said Earl, his heirs and assigns;
Trustees by letters patent dated 13 June and 11 September 22 Charles II (1670) granted Acts of Parliament, are seised of rent or tenth [£68.18s.0½d] out of the manor of Woborne with the Rectory or Rectories of Woborne and Birchmore, co.Bedford, granted by letters patent dated 16 July 1 Edward VI (1547) to John Lord Russell and his heirs; also of rent [7s 10½d] out of the manor of Sibson and divers lands in Thurning, Overton, Longfield, Bottlebridge, Warington and Luton, co.Hunts, granted to George Smith and his heirs for ever and now paid by the said Earl of Bedford at Michaelmas; also of rent [26s. 8d.] out of the manor of Eberye alias Eybury alias Ibury alias Eyber Ibery and the capital messuage of Eybury, co.Northampton, granted by letters patent dated 15 July 23 Henry VIII (1531) to John Lord Russell, his heirs and assigns for ever;
In consideration of £1,035. 18s. and 5 s. 0d. the said trustees have sold the said rents to Robert Russell, esquire and George Collop, esquire, their heirs and assigns, trustees for the Earl of Bedford, his heirs and assigns for ever.
