    Demise Parties: (i) Wriothesley, Duke of Bedford; (ii) John Chowne of Newport Pagnell [Buckinghamshire], woollen draper; (iii) John Chesham of Woburn, carrier, brother and heir of William Chesham, late of Woburn, carrier, deceased Reciting: - admission of 1 Oct 1701 of Mary Chowne, Elizabeth, wife of Robert Parratt, Margaret Chowne, Sarah Chowne and Martha Chowne, daughters and co-heirs of (ii) by Alice, his late wife, at court of Woburn Abbotts to (d); - William Chesham contracted with (ii) and his daughters to purchase (d) for £170 with William Chesham paying the fine to the Lord of the Manor and (ii) and his daughters surrendered (d) to him immediately after their admission; - Margaret, Sarah and Martha Chowne were then under 21; - (ii) contracted with William Chesham that Margaret, Sarah and Martha Chowne would each surrender their interest in (a) to him as soon as they were 21; - John Chesham, brother of William, sold (d) to (i), the Lord of the Manor; - Margaret and Sarah Chowne were now 21 and had, that day, surrendered their title to (d) to (i) Operative Part: - (ii) to indemnify (i) against any claim by Martha Chowne, who was still under 21, demised (a)-(c) to (i) for 5/- as security that Martha would, within six months of turning 21, surrender her rights in (d) to (i) at which point the demise of (a)-(c) to (i) would become void Property: (a) messuage in Tickford End, Newport Pagnell in occupation of John Vane; (b) messuage in Tickford End, Newport Pagnell in occupation of Holloway Underwood; (c) close of pasture adjoining (a)-(b) of one acre in occupation of John Chowne; (d) close of arable called Ley Field of 7a 2r 36p in occupation of William Chesham Witnesses: - Richard Perrott; - Ambrose Reddall
