    Conveyance(photocopy made in CRO of original withdrawn by St. Albans Diocesan Board of Finance, 5 February 1970) 1) Rev. Francis Robinson, Rector of Little Staughton (with consent of President and Scholars of Corpus Christi College, Oxford, patrons of the living, and also of Thomas, Lord Bishop of Ely) 2) Minister and Churchwardens of Little Staughton and their successors Conveyance by 1) to 2) under the Acts for Conveyance and Endowment of Sites for Schools etc., 5 and 8 Vict., of - all that piece of parcel of glebe land in Little Staughton, 2r. as is now admeasured and marked out, bounded: :E. Village Street :N. Land belonging to Francis Pym Esq. :W and S. glebe land To hold on trust for a school for the education of poor persons of Little Staughton, and for a playground and teacher's house. The School to be in union with the National Society; Minister to have sole care of religious instruction, but general management to be vested in a Committee to consist of Minister, curate, Lord of the Manor (if a member of the Church of England) Francis Pym of the Hazells, and William Hugh Wade Gery of Bushmead (provided that they and their heirs are members of the C. of E., and hold real estate in the parish, and that they subscribe at least 20s. per annum to the school), or subscribers Teacher to be liable to removal etc. at the discretion of Her Majesty's Inspector etc. Endorsed: Certificate of Commissioners appointed by the Bishop of Ely re site etc., 12 December 1845 Also endorsed: note of enrollment in Chancery, 28 March 1848 witnesses: Edward Rainsford of Oxford; John Burder, Secretary to the Bishop of Ely; John Beedham of Kimbolton, solicitor signatures and seals: [not photocopied]
