Regular business includes election of parish officers, passing accounts, rates and rating, tenancy of Church land and parish cottages etc. Occasional business includes: 1862 Small tenement rating act 1863 "The Spring in Church Hill to be bricked up with a kerb" and "repairs to the old spring". 1863-4 Proposed new bridge at the ford on the road from Pertenhall to Little Staughton 1865 Rating of new built cottages at Top End 1865 Fencing the churchyard 1867 Parish Clerk's salary fixed at £5, and one pound extra for cleaning the church 1868 Sale of parish cottage "near the Meeting" 1870 Rate reduction at Rectory Farm (Thomas Brightman, tenant) on account of damage by fire [see Beds. Mercury 8 Sept. 1868] 1870 New Elementary Education Act - "resolved nem.con. that the voluntary system be continued" 1881-2 Cottage at Top End late in occupation of Mrs. Baker to be given up to the Local Government Board
