I think the last query of No.4 sent to you today is a little misleading.
The question is how did the ppties enumerated in p.1 of Abstract II become vested in the Vendor? They were all vested in Burr & Crabb by the deed of 31 July 1860 & none of them were conveyed to the vendor by the deed of 29 January 1878 of which I have a copy.
I suggest that they may have been conveyed to the Vendor by Burr & Crabb by the Deed of even date mentioned in the recital at pp.8-9 of my copy of the deed of 29 January 1878 of the contents of this deed of even date I know nothing.
I am sorry to trouble you with so much preliminary inquiry but I think it will simplify matters in the end".
